What makes a lug butterfly valve different from a wafer type?
Lug bodies carry threaded lugs that bolt each flange to the valve independently, so one side of the line can be dismantled while the valve stays in place and holds isolation. Wafer bodies are only clamped and do not provide that capability. The benchmark lug execution spans DN40 to DN300; above that range wafer and double-flanged bodies take over on weight and economy.
Is SS316L the right execution for my service?
