Through Conduit Slab Gate Valves
Through conduit slab gate valves slide a single flat gate that, when open, leaves a smooth full bore — minimizing pressure drop and keeping slurries and solids from accumulating in the valve cavity, which is why pipeline transmission duties favour them. The range covers NPS 2" to 48" (DN50 to DN1200) at ASME Class 150 to 2500 (PN16 to PN420), with carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel and duplex stainless steel bodies, RF, BW or RTJ end connections, manual, pneumatic, electric or hydraulic operation, and API 6D design for oil and gas transportation. Selection turns on the full-bore requirement against pigging, the class against line pressure, and the body alloy against the transported fluid. Generic gate-valve references add the selection frame: shut-off rather than throttling duty (a partially open gate can vibrate and erode), very little space along the pipe axis with hardly any flow restriction fully open, full-port versus reduced-port bore options, rising versus non-rising stem patterns (position indication versus limited headroom), pressure-seal bonnets above roughly 2250 psi (15 MPa), threaded or seal-welded seat rings with hard facings for high temperature, bidirectional installation, and bypass valves on large sizes to equalize pressure before operation.

| pressure seal bonnet note | Pressure-seal bonnet construction adopted for high pressure service, typically in excess of 2250 psi (15 MPa) |
| stem patterns note | Rising stems give visual position indication; non-rising stems suit installations with limited vertical space |

| full port bore | Full-port builds pass a full line-size bore for minimum pressure drop; reduced-port builds have slightly higher drop |
| osy stem advantage | Outside-screw-and-yoke rising stems keep stem threads out of the flow medium (not subject to corrosion/erosion) |

| conduit gate body cavity relief | Relief valve in the body cavity |
| conduit gate fully piggable | Fully piggable design |
| conduit gate fail open operation | In normal operation, line fluid fills the cavity and the gate is lifted by the pressure generated from the flow path assisting the actuator spring to open the valve, resulting in a fail-open configuration. |
| conduit gate rising stem under line pressure | The valve design includes a rising stem which accommodates the upward and downward movements of the gate allowing it to open and close under the line pressure. |
| conduit gate testing standards | Compliance with API 6D & ISO 5208 & API 598 inspection and testing |
| conduit gate fire safe certification | Fire safe and fire tested as per API 6FA/ 607 |

| conduit gate api6a psl levels | Product specification levels (PSL 1, 2, 3, 3G and 4) |
| conduit gate piggable fully open only | Slab through conduit gate valves are piggable in the fully open position and generate pressure drop across the valve equal to the inside diameter of the connecting pipe. |
| peer design standards conduit gate | Slab through conduit gate valves are designed and manufactured in accordance with API 6D and API 6A standards and specifically for on-off services. |
| conduit gate top entry inline service | These valves are a top entry design with floating seats, and are serviceable while installed in the flow line. |
| conduit gate api6d monogram | They are manufactured to API-6D requirements and carry the API-6D monogram audited and issued by the American Petroleum Institute. |
| conduit gate bore matches pipeline id | The through-conduit design has a smooth, continuous bore that matches the internal diameter of the pipeline when fully open. |
| conduit gate dbb bidirectional piggable | Both types are full bore, bi-directional, capable of double block and bleed sealing, and ideal for pigging operations. |
| conduit gate body thermal relief bleed | When body pressure exceeds line pressure from causes such as thermal expansion, the upstream seat is forced back into its recess and the excess pressure in the body is bled between the seat and the gate into the line. |
| conduit gate double seal sequence | Thus, a double seal is formed; first, a plastic-to-metal seal then metal-to-metal. |
| conduit gate spring energized floating seats | These valves feature floating metal seat rings equipped with soft face seals, held against the gate by a dynamically energized spring. |
| conduit gate emergency sealant injection | Should a seat fail, emergency sealant can be pumped directly into a groove on the seat face through body fittings. |
| conduit gate fire safe graphite option | For added safety, an optional fire-safe design ensures a temporary seal via graphite wire rod and metal-to-metal contact between the seat and gate, even if soft seals are compromised. |
| conduit gate low emission packing api622 | API-622 qualified low-emission braided graphite packing. |
| conduit gate packing in service adjustment | A unique internal retainer allows in-service adjustment while the valve is under pressure, significantly extending packing life and eliminating downtime. |

Scope & source notes
| bonnet construction | Bonnet construction: the referenced pressure-seal bonnet threshold (typically above 2250 psi / 15 MPa) implies bolted-bonnet executions below that pressure, while the tenant range spans ASME Class 150 to 2500 - the tenant upper band relies on pressure-seal builds not itemized per class. |
|---|---|
| bore flow framing | Bore/flow framing: generic references describe full-port builds as having no obstruction in the flow path, while the tenant page does not state whether all sizes are full port - reduced-port executions would carry slightly higher pressure drop. |
| stem pattern split | Stem pattern split: rising stems give visual position indication and non-rising stems save vertical space, but the tenant operation list (manual/pneumatic/electric/hydraulic) does not break out which stem pattern each actuation option uses. |
