The 1400A/1800A silent check valve is the axis-guided, spring-return execution of the silent check principle: a short linear stroke returns the disc to the seat before flow reversal, so shock and water hammer from a sudden reverse-flow stoppage are removed at the source instead of absorbed downstream.
